Gwen was not ready to retire as she loved the people she worked with. Then, in 2017, Trump was harassing immigrants, and her husband and daughter-in-law are immigrants. She found DTMG, an active resistance grassroots organization, and has stayed with them ever since. And, BONUS, she loves working (and playing) with this group. They have given her the guidance to get much more involved in strengthening our democracy. She has definitely bonded with this team.

Melanie’s been volunteering her evenings and weekends for pro-democracy causes since 2017 and found DTMG along her volunteer journey. By day, she’s a Senior Event Designer for Corcoran Caterers, planning corporate and social events throughout the DMV. She believes that democracy is participatory and that we all need to “do the most good” to create “a more perfect union” for all of us and the communities we live and work in.

Nancy’s parents met on a Democratic campaign, and it’s in her DNA. She’s taught at the university level, worked with the federal government, and is currently working with the immigrant community.

Becky is a communications and public affairs strategist who has spent the past two decades helping mission-driven organizations advance their goals. As a new mom concerned about the direction of the country under the first Trump administration, she volunteered for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's groundbreaking campaign—an experience that deepened her commitment to grassroots organizing and progressive causes.

Lennie's been campaigning for Democratic candidates and volunteering for pro-democracy causes since at least 2000 and has been with DTMG since 2020. Workwise, Lennie has been a US- and Asia-based journalist, a nonprofit development professional, a fitness instructor/personal trainer, and (currently) an SAT/ACT tutor. She believes in variety and loyalty.

Olivia canvassed in several states for Obama in 2008 and 2012, and for Clinton in 2016. After the 2016 election, she left a 30-year career as an NIH scientist to fight the anti-science agenda of the first Trump administration. She’s been part of DTMG leadership since early 2017, standing up for democracy and helping to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.

After picking herself up off the ground and wiping away her tears when Trump won in 2016, Eden became involved in down-ballot politics. By day, she is the Chief of Staff for Delegate Jared Solomon (D-18); by night, she is the Executive Director of DoTheMostGood. Eden believes canvassing is the point of living.
